Key Ingredients

Cacay

Our hero ingredient - Cacay Oil – has a myriad of benefits for the skin. This organic ingredient harnesses Omega 3, 6 & 9 and naturally occurring Vitamin A to increase cell turnover, improve skin tone and balance sebum production. The perfect ingredient to support healthy ageing.

Cacay Oil contains 50% more Vitamin E and twice the amount of Linoleic Acid than Argan Oil.

Retinol

Retinol has been used for many years to support healthy ageing. Studies go back more than 40 years and proves how this potent ingredient skin can improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Retinol is a multi-tasking marvel;  it’s perfect for customers who want to introduce a powerful antioxidant into their skincare routine as well as treat signs of acne.

Soy Bean

Soybean oil or soya oil is vegetable oil extracted from the seeds of the soybean. It contains high concentrations of genistein, vitamin E, essential fatty acids (EFAs), and lecithin. Together, these chemical compounds can enable soybean oil benefits to include strong antioxidant protection.

Soybean oil contributes to antioxidant effects that help to protect the skin by neutralising free radicals that are present in the environment.

    Reveal radiant and healthy skin

With regular use, your skin will benefit from:

    • A more even skin tone
    • A firmer, healthier appearance
    • An increases elasticity and flexibility
    • Smoother, plumper wrinkles
    • Reduced signs of hyperpigmentation
    • Reduced breakouts

    Why it works

Retinol is a very effective form of Vitamin A which is a man-made, vegan ingredient. This vitamin plays an important role helping to build the skin structure. The top layer of the skin is formed by horny cells (corneocytes); Vitamin A promotes the formation of these cells and supports regeneration thus guaranteeing visibly, smoother skin.

This ingredient has also been studied as an effective acne treatment as it stimulates the production of healthy cells and regulates cell function.

    How to use

Add 1 to 2 pumps onto your palms. Smooth the oil onto your face and neckline applying gentle upward motions. Use your fingertips to gently pat the oil into the area around your eyes (avoiding directly under your eye to avoid irritation.)  Allow a couple of minutes to let the oil work its magic and absorb into the skin.

If you are pregnant or breast feeding, please seek advice from your doctor when using products containing retinol.

Before incorporating any new skincare product into your routine, we always recommend a patch-test beforehand.

    What is Clean Beauty?

With words such as green, natural and organic we are often misled into thinking a product is ‘clean’ without checking the label. Clean beauty means that a product is safe, non-toxic, and has transparent labeling of ingredients. Just because a product is green/natural/organic it doesn’t mean it is clean. Clean Beauty, at its core, is a product that is safe to use with no harmful ingredients (to reiterate: not chemicals, but ingredients!).

    Small Batch production

Small batch production has taken off in the last 2-3 years with local businesses taking the lead. From decor and beauty to food brands, we are seeing a huge shift in expectation from consumers as well as brands leading the process. Conscious consumers are moving away from mass-produced, large-scale beauty products to sustainable and eco-friendly makeup brands that operate along ethical lines. A renewed focus on zero-waste makeup is also part of this planet- and people-conscious movement.
