ABOUT MIREIA
In 2012 I graduated as a fashion designer from ESDI School of Design and then I started my career working for two companies in the industry.
At the age of 23 I decided to start a vegan lifestyle and soon after I realized that I couldn't find, either at physical stores or on the Internet, vegan shoe brands that matched my ideals, lifestyle and aesthetic taste.
This is why I proposed to my father, who had a professional career of more than 30 years in the footwear world, to unite our forces to create a vegan shoe brand, with the ultimate goal to achieve a totally sustainable product.
Mireia Playà shoes are manufactured in Alicante by footwear and leather goods craftsmen experts. Our manufacturers are backed by decades of experience in traditional shoe making and now bring that same know-how and convenience to our vegans products.
OUR MISSION
In 2016, we decided to create a brand that would reflect our values and would allow us to share with the world the dream of a better future.
This is how our brand was born, a project with a committed spirit, a dream shared that offers the opportunity to enjoy a unique, modern and lasting design, respecting our environment and therefore all those who inhabit it.
We promote a sustainable, responsible and ethical fashion industry. In addition, we believe in conscious rather than impulsive buying, so we create products to experience them, not to accumulate them.

THE WORKERS
"Life is our reason to exist," and not just animal life, but people who make our product's and the planet where we live in.
From the beginning, we knew that we wanted to produce in factories that could ensure that the artisans who made our designs reality, work under fair working conditions and received fair wages.
This is one of the reasons why we chose a production in Spain, because it is supervised by Spanish and European labor laws therefore we can easily visit them to check the conditions of the artisans in their workspace.
SUSTAINABILITY
We were born as a vegan brand in 2016 and, later, sustainability became one of our short-term and long-term goals. We are up to date with the latest developments in order to offer you more sustainable products, and walk the path to total sustainability together.
MATERIALS
We have included materials made with corn and recycled fibers in our collections.
PACKAGING
We have eliminated plastic from our packaging, using recycled and recyclable paper and cardboard.
